November was a busy month!  We had the following environmental days: World Vegan Day International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict World Fisheries Day International Jaguar Day International Day of Climate Action More Events   Then there was of course Black Friday/Cyber Monday!! World Soil Day 2019 is today December 5th, this annual awareness day run by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), is usually held on the same date every year. The event aims to raise awareness of the importance of soil quality for human well-being, food security and ecosystems, and events are held at the UN FAO offices and through community-based events. The day was first considered by the International Union of Soil Sciences in 2002 but was not officially endorsed by FAO until 2013. We know that you can't always get away from soft plastics, whether it be packaging from food, or products, or even just down to your newspaper that gets delivered. But what you do with it, is what makes all the difference! Keep all your soft plastics (including chip or snack packets) in a small bin and then once full take it to a RedCycle collection point near you.

Last week we posted the final recycling symbol.Currently, there are only 7 symbols, but there probably should be more with all the advancements in recycling and also product materials.   If we find any more, we'll be sure to let you know!   We hope that you found the posts informational and interesting and we hope that you are now a little bit wiser on recycling and what we should and shouldn't recycle. We know we are!!   Hopefully, one day we'll see the symbols all disappear and there will be only a recycling symbol numbered 1 which is EVERYTHING!!...
